Crew Leaders we need you!

**The ReTooling Blitz Build, September 20th – 25th  is almost here! Your help is needed for all of the days!  Please contact Jennifer signmeup@torontohabitat.on.ca or 416-755-7353 Ex. 225 to sign up for a Crew Leading shift during the Blitz!  Invite your friends (age 55+) to come out and build on your crew.  More information about the Blitz including where your friends can sign up as a crew member is found at www.retoolingbuild.ca

**All Crew Leaders are invited to participate in the capping weekend on Sunday, September 12th This is a very important day to get the site ready for the Blitz.   There will only be a few individuals onsite so Crew Leaders will have a great opportunity to build alongside other experienced volunteers, brush up on your skills and share Habitat stories.  Please sign up for a shift online at www.torontohabitat.on.ca/sheduler

** There are some big days ahead on site.  If you are available at Williams Way on Saturday, October 2nd please sign up for a shift!  If you are free at 4572 Kingston Rd on the following days, please come on out and lead a crew: Wednesday, October 13th, Thursday, October 14th and Wednesday, October 20th.

**There is lots of training coming your way in the next few weeks!  All technical training is optional.  However, Blitz Build Crew Leaders are required to attend one of two Crew Leader Pre-Blitz Orientations (a non-pizza dinner will be provided!)  We look forward to seeing you there.   These sessions take place between 6p.m. – 9p.m. at 4572 Kingston Rd.  For more information or to sign up, e-mail Jennifer at signmeup@torontohabitat.on.ca or call 416-755-7353 Ex. 225.

Thursday, September 16th Crew Leader Pre-Blitz Orientation (mandatory) DINNER

** All Crew Leaders are invited to attend this month’s HU 400 Training Course! *Having finally received permits, construction is now under way at our 4572 Kingston Rd site. Footings and foundation walls have been poured for the first 11 units.  Backfilling and capping of the basements will begin this week*.

** Crew Leaders, be on the lookout for Volunteers with Crew Leader Potential!  Please make CLT recommendations to both the Site Supervisor and the Volunteer Coordinator and encourage potential CLT’s to schedule more shifts.
